Viet Eat owner, Andy Le is proud to announce the opening of his next London restaurant, which not only expands his mission to provide hungry Londoners with the freshest, finest and most authentic Vietnamese cuisine, but also introduces a brand new food concept to whet the appetite and inspire the taste buds… Introducing Pho & Bun!
This new restaurant hits fans of Vietnamese cuisine, and indeed foodies of all stripes, with a mouth-watering one-two of fresh and flavoursome Pho Noodle Soup, the classic dish of the region, and its very own innovative and absolutely unmissable Steamed Milky Bun Burger. Combining the current trend for the steamed bun, popular throughout Asia, with a delicious 28 days dry aged beef patty, the Steamed Milky Bun Burger is the very first of its kind available in London. Served with Viet Eat’s signature smoky mayonnaise sauce, a selection of different herbs and fresh salad, it is guaranteed to give you a satisfying burger experience quite unlike any other.
And while Pho & Bun is overjoyed to be bringing something new to London’s Vietnamese cuisine scene, they are also dedicated to the cause of continuing to create what must be the most refreshing and reinvigorating Pho Noodle Soup in the capital. Consisting of fresh rice noodles in a carefully prepared and flavoursome clear broth, Pho & Bun give their soup the edge by using only the freshest herbs and organic free range meat. This Pho Noodle Soup even comes in its own specially designed bowl, with a top lid to keep it warm as it travels from the kitchen and which can then be used as a herb plate!
Pho & Bun combines these new elements with some of the most popular dishes in the Viet Eat repertoire, from Summer Roll with Tiger Prawn to Vietnamese Beef Carpacio, all prepared under the expert eye of head chef Mark Read. Having previously worked as executive chef at Bambou, Mango Tree and Banana Tree, Mark is renowned for his expertise when it comes to South East Asian Cuisine, which of course helps to bring the Pho & Bun dream to life.
With such exciting and authentic food on offer, Pho & Bun needs a venue to match… And that’s exactly what it’s got being located on London’s bustling and ever popular Shaftesbury Avenue, in between the food meccas of Soho and Chinatown. The design of Pho & Bun is the very definition of authentic as Water Architecture, one of the leading interior design firms in Vietnam, have been called in to create a dining atmosphere that reflects the country’s rich and vibrant street food scene. The interior will combine distinctively traditional designs and patterns with bespoke chairs, tables and crockery all hand-made in Vietnam.
Andy Le is the Vietnamese visionary behind both Viet Eat and now Pho & Bun. Founded in 2013 in Holborn to meet the rising demand for Vietnamese food in London, Viet Eat has been a smash hit since day one. Having already shown the market for quick, convenient and authentic food from the region, Mr Le is bound to enjoy similar success and satisfaction with Pho & Bun… Just as diners are bound to enjoy eating there!
